Google Analytics 360 limitation

With its share of 85% of the overall industry, the free version of Google Analytics is the most used web analytics solution to date. Google's Freemium acquisition model comprises free and premium (paid) customers. However, if you don't pay, you'll access the device with restricted features, usage, storage, and support.

Despite its prevalence, Google Analytics has wide limits.

Accuracy.

Sometimes, Google can't follow everything that happens on a website, so any number that appears in reports should be treated as approximations.

Incomplete information.

Many people will abandon Google Analytics; they can also hinder threats and disable JavaScript, which is Google's way of tracking visitor behavior. Their movement is not followed, which causes them not to be reported.

Unwanted information.

There are two undesirable data sources that will cause overreporting:

  • Internal traffic: Information from Google Analytics 360 includes traffic from internal and external customers. This may be considered undesirable because you are interested in traffic to your pages only from external sources, and therefore you should make plans to use the “External Traffic Only” view accordingly.
  • Bots: While the technique that Google Analytics uses to track customer movement will generally prevent most bot activities, it can't guarantee that bot visits won't contaminate your reports.

Approach.

If you use the free version of Google Analytics, you won't get 100% traffic tracking for each report. It can increase accuracy in specific reports, but this doesn't use all traffic.
